This car has been in my family since I was born.
My brother, who is 14 years older than I am, bought this old girl in about 1969 (he was 14). She has been stored in a garage (barn) since about 1973. From there, she never turned a wheel until I moved her to my garage when I bought her from my brother in October 2019. All numbers match, and she's got really low mileage.
I've always known her as my brother's "little red Austin", but it turns out that the car was originally Old English White, with a red interior. When my brother got the car, it was already red, and he reupholstered the interior from red to cream. The full story of how he came by the car is told in the first entry in the Restoration Journey, if you'd like to hear about it.
This site is a combination build site and blog. I'll try to include links to all the articles that I use for help in this project.
Enjoy the process.
